(An Association of Junior Engineer’s of BSNL)

“SNATTA’s Final Appeal to BSNLEU & NFTE: Keep JE Interests Alive — WNC Is Still on the Table!”

In the wake of recent developments regarding the Wage Negotiation Committee (WNC) process, SNATTA has issued a final and firm appeal to both BSNLEU and NFTE-BSNL, urging them to uphold fairness and justice for the Junior Engineer (JE) cadre before signing any final wage agreement.

SNATTA has clearly stated that the WNC process is still active — the matter is on the table, not concluded — and every representative has both the right and responsibility to ensure that no cadre is left behind.

In its official communication dated 08.10.2025, SNATTA reaffirmed its commitment to unity and constructive negotiation, not opposition. The association emphasized that the current proposed NE-9 scale (31,000–63,000) and 2.28 multiplication factor are unjustified and unfair when compared to other scales.
Therefore, SNATTA has demanded the implementation of the DoT-approved Telecom Department pay scale of ₹35,700–1,12,400 for Junior Engineers, ensuring technical parity, career motivation, and long-term justice.

The letter appeals to both recognized unions — BSNLEU and NFTE — to take a fair stand for JEs, maintain unity on the staff side, and hold a joint meeting with CMD BSNL to resolve the NE-9 issue before any final signature on the wage agreement.

SNATTA firmly believes that a united staff-side voice can still secure a historic and fair outcome in the interest of all non-executives, particularly the young JE workforce that forms the technical backbone of BSNL.

Key Message from SNATTA GS (Suresh Kumar):

“The WNC matter is not over — it is still on the table.
This is the time to stand united and take a decision in favor of JEs.
Their future, their pay, and their dignity depend on this moment.”
