The burning problems of the Non-Executives, raised with the Management in many Formal and Informal meetings, as well as in the National Council meetings are not being settled. The Management adopts a casual attitude and discusses those problems for the sake of formality. Thereafter, Management keeps the demands in the cold storage. It is also a matter of deep concern that, the Management is treating the Non-Executives with step-motherly attitude even on minor issues. Massive abolishing of posts in the name of “Restructuring of Manpower” has killed the promotional avenues of the Non-Executives. Consequent to the Restructuring, many circles are declared as surplus and JTO, JE and TT LICES are being held for name sake, without any vacancy . Even justified transfers are being denied to those circles. Further, the Management is massively outsourcing of the works of the Company to outside agencies, which is threatening the very future of the Non-Executives. BSNLEU and SNATTA have decided to organise joint programme, demanding settlement of these issues. A joint memorandum is submitted to the CMD BSNL with a charter of demands. As a first step, lunch- hour demonstrations are being organised on 12-06-2024. The agitation will be intensified if the issues are not settled. All the circle and district body of SNATTA are requested to coordinate with BSNLEU at their levels and mobilise maximum number of employees in the lunch hour demonstration to be held on 12-06-2024.
